Blogging For Business Owners to Establish Authority
If you run a small business or a company of any size, I’m sure you at least have a business website to help your customers quickly find you. You may think that is all you need but you are leaving money on the table.
That’s right, real money, dinero, pera, geld, novac…you get the picture right…$$$.
What if I told you that there is a way that business owners can:
You can do this by writing about what you are already doing…you can blog about your business services and how it relates to targeted clients in your area and bring in more money by appealing to more customers.
For example, if you are a local restaurant owner, add a blog and talk about local events that you think your customers might like such as the rodeo. Invite customers to attend on the same day you and your family will go or raffle off a free ticket and watch the increased response from raving clients. Your clients will not only have to purchase from you to get into the raffle, but they will also correlate their experience with that local event and your local restaurant.
You may find that the world of blogging for business owners is the world that you want to be a part of because of the ease of marketability to your customers. Blogging is an excellent way to get the
word out to consumers about your product or service, and it can even be useful for inspiring employee loyalty and helping you keep your workers at peak morale. You can take the same example from above and allow an employee that gives away the most raffle tickets (via customer purchase) to also win a free rodeo ticket and a day off courtesy of THE BOSS. Just think of the increase in employee productivity you will get by offering an inexpensive token of appreciation.
If you are looking for a way to take your business to the next level, consider what starting a blog might be able to do for your company. The key to having a successful blog as a business owner is keeping your goals clear and concrete at every step of your blogging adventure. It can be all to easy to get sidetracked, especially if you are just learning about the exciting possibilities of blogging technology, but if you want your blog to succeed you need to stay focused.
Write up a plan for how often you will update, how you will promote your blog and retain readers, whether you will feature photographs or video, and other aspects of your blog, Speaking of photographs, another example for promoting your business authority is to have customer take photos of themselves and their family enjoying your services and asking them to tag the photos to your social media page. Afterward, you can write quick notes of your “happy customer” enjoying your services and maybe even get them to take a little time out to comment about your services themselves. Whatever your plan is, only stick to it with the same kind of determination that you used when you built your business and watched your business authority and expertise reach new heights.
